Just cook will ya....!

Just could not sleep last night, wind and rain on the windows, heard the milkman at 3.55, then our resident blackbird in the tree outside our window started up at 4.20, must have dropped off after that....then woke just after 9, dont feel too bad considering!

That shiney thing we sometimes have in the sky was out today, so we walked to town, still a really cold wind though :-/ Had a coffee in Costa, hub had some toast, I abstained, trying to have a good week weight wise, need to get my mojo back :-/

Youngest and his wife were calling late afternoon, as its hubs birthday Monday, so before they arrived hub washed the car whilst I got busy with some batch cooking...... moroccan spiced vegetables x2, minced beef cottage pie base, spaghetti bolognese base, a pork ragu and a keema matar (indian spiced) cottage pie for tomorrows dinner.....not my intended blip, but ended up as the only photo I took today.

Ive prepared a meal planner for this week so hopefully it will pay off on the scales next week!

Youngest still hasnt had his new glasses, if you remember a while back I mentioned the difficultly he had finding a company who could manufacture his lenses due to the strength needed, hopefully he will get them next week, finally!!! In other news, he has been nominated for an award at work, he has to go to Leicester next Friday. The company are hosting, and his wife gets to go to, as he can't go alone.....it will be amazing if he wins, would be well deserved bearing in mind his sight limitations, not that he should win because of that of course, just to be nominated is fab, might be a bit biased ;-) He has also received another gift lately following a senior team manager nominating him as someone who follows their company values and is a credit to work alongside....... salary increase too, to recognise his efforts, #proud :-D
