A Lady Mantis!

Today I found a second praying mantis and she is obviously a female. I’ve suspected that the one I’ve been tracking over the last few weeks is a male because it is slim. As soon as I saw this one I could tell the difference. One of each is good, especially as I found them only about two metres apart. I have been searching in vain in the usual places and feared there would be none to find. This one was well hidden. I spotted her by chance, and needed to use the flash to get a shot of her.
