Step this way

Had a day out at Lanercost Priory just outside of Brampton near Carlisle with Sal today.

The Church is still complete and in use but the priory ruins are now owned by English Heritage but was closed for some reason. Anyway our main reason for going was the coffee shop and the walk along the banks of the River Irthing which we managed to complete before the rain arrived.

So our caravan season has begun with trips to our two favourite places, Lowther Castle and Lanercost.

I think Sal’s cold seems to be a bit better so the Cumbrian air must have done her good :-)
