Indian Gold

When I left my job in Muscat in 2000, I was asked what I would like for a leaving present. I asked for gold.

Anyone who has lived in the Persian Gulf will know that gold is a highly desirable commodity, much in demand for weddings. I was presented with the gold pendant and earrings. I added the chain myself.

The gold has a reddish tinge and has a higher carat value than in UK, usually. The gold market in UAE is famous.

I've slumped out of bed today, showered and made the effort to take a photo. Now I'm exhausted. But it's time for a cup of tea so I shall put on the kettle.
