Sweet Chestnuts and Celandines

Started off lovely and sunny ended dull and grey. At least we got out in the sunshiny bit and walked to the garden centre for our monthly free coffee.

I liked this shot of the gnarled old chestnut trees with their twisted bark catching the sunlight creating highlights and shadows and showing shadows cast by branches. I also liked the way that the spreading branches of the tree sort of protected the delicate celandines at their feet.

Nothing much in the afternoon. Seemed to be busy at lots of what seemed to be inconsequential tasks. May go to the Referees training meeting tonight.
