KEEPING A BEDE-Y EYE ON ME

I bought this window sticker of The Venerable Bede on my last visit to Durham.

I had a long chat with Mum this morning. All being well, I'm hoping to go and stay with her for Mothers' Day weekend, but we're taking each day as it comes. She's very pragmatic and down to earth about the situation, despite always having been very wary of the flu after it took her own mother in 1939 at the age of 36. If the blessed Mel, her carer, isn't able to go in for some reason then all plans will change. She can manage for two or three days on her own, but it's much safer if someone is with her.
