Nesting time - Male House Sparrow

A little bit of sunshine brings out the nesting instinct!  I’ve not done much garden bird photography this year, maybe because of the persistent rain, but as I thought I’d seen the Tree Sparrow again I was sat in the bedroom with the window wide open and camera in hand.  It was the House Sparrows who were posing on the nearest tree.   Lots of blue tits about too, in fact we have had regular visits from blue, great, coal and long-tailed tits, but they tend to nip in for a seed and quickly fly off again.  The sparrows are now dependent on our less maintenance conscious neighbours for their Des Res because when our house was reroofed our builder sealed the access under the eaves (not what Ann wanted).
