One of todays visitors

One of the young male pheasants that regularly visit us.  Usually they hang around under the bird feeders as the Goldfinches are very messy feeders and drop lots of sunflower hearts. Of course they (the small birds) don’t visit if I’m too close.

From my office window I spotted Mr & Mrs Bullfinch, at least four male chaffinches (apparently the species is declining in the UK), as well as Goldfinches, House Sparrows and lots of Blue, Great and Coal Tits and a pair of long-tailed tits.

Just in case a need to look back and remind myself at a later date, this is the morning the great `cleaning ‘ scandal broke.
