Dropped Pat off at Leuchars before I headed off to St Andrews. Michael Portillo would approve the next station the train stops at.

In St Andrews, the town is very quiet indeed. I do banking business and hear all sorts of Covid rumours. Now very conscientious about all the hand washing that should be done.

More errands including picking up Food Waste Recycling bags from the Library.

Back home for a myriad of tasks to complete. Chat with  Herr Doctor JB who is the archetypical German Scientists, and been here for decades and lives in an award winning quite remarkable house we designed for him thirty years ago.

 I persuade him that making his annual spring trip to Tubingen is probably a trip to forget.

We talk about particle physics and Buddhism, just for a change and I recommend a book that might rekindle his planet sized brain cells. Recommend a book called "The Disappearance of the Universe’’ which is inspirational.

Discuss with Reg our current Probus President about whether The Club should not meet

I recommend that we dump the coffee and cake ritual and space the seats apart from each other. Practice Namaste and we should be fine.

Just contemplating a trip to the station to meet Pat who seems to have had a great day of painting at the Scottish Arts Club.
