Life in Sunny Dubai

One Central

G finally got her BBQ today! AWANA being cancelled is giving us back our Thursday evenings. Friends Rachel and Peter were up for one as well, so we headed to our usual spot on the flight path just outside Mushrif Park. The road has changed a bit and I thought we might not see too many aircraft, but we did. A bit of "normality" in what is fast becoming an unrecognisable world! I hope Dubai doesn't go into lockdown like Italy has had to.

Peter was our head chef and he did a grand job with the BBQ. I can't believe how cold it got as the evening went on. It was 16 deg C by the time we packed up. We headed to the Last Exit as P&R hadn't been. So relieved they enjoyed it and thought it was a really cool place. Even better than there were loads of high-end bikes, car and other unusual vehicles there. It was past 1am by the time we said our goodbyes and started to head home.

And prior to all that, G & I headed to the WeWork office in Dubai to check it out. Surkus got us in for free and we could have been there all day, but we only stayed a couple of hours. It was actually a really great experience. I loved the desk and facility and also how cool they've made the space. It also gave us the chance to explore the newly created One Central office's area. We've sussed out the road network (and free parking).
