A time for everything

A largely wet day today, so we spent it mainly at home, other than going to the YMCA for a swim. We discovered via an email yesterday evening, that they too will be closed as from Monday, so they can use the facilities for a camp for medical workers’ children who are off school. On the way home we tried a different supermarket to see if we could pick up a few things we weren’t able to get yesterday. There were a lot of empty shelves, but we were able to get orange juice, eggs and a loaf of bread to go in the freezer! My blip is of the latest prayer shawl I am knitting for our knitting ministry. I guess I will be getting quite a bit of knitting done over the next few weeks or more, with everything that’s closed or cancelled! However, as a couple of Faceboook posts today have pointed out,  there’s still plenty we can do - we can read, we can listen to music or make music, we can play games with family, we can talk to family and friends on the phone or by FaceTime or WhatsApp, or send them notes or cards, we can watch the signs of Spring unfurl around us, watch the birds at the feeders...
