More Celandine

A very odd day - somewhat depressing.

Mrs madwill decided to shut down her business from today - probably until September. She had been thinking about doing this, but a power cut to the site meant no classes today so she took the decision to shut. She only runs classes during term times anyway and this thing is unlikely to resolve in time for summer term. The majority of her customers are ‘older ladies’ and so are among the more vulnerable to this disease. She also doesn’t want people walking in the shop as it is quite a small space

Her next TV appearance which was due in a couple of weeks has been cancelled - so more loss of income. Self employed people are going to be the hardest hit - and many small businesses will not survive - one can only hope that Mrs madwill can rebuild from September. On the plus side I won’t have to do any fabric cutting packing for the foreseeable future!

Our children are pressing us to make sure we stay away from shops and other people. We are both over 60 (with underlying health problems) but neither of us feel old. It is also going to be hard not seeing them and the grandchildren in the coming months.

I did an inventory our freezer yesterday - there are going to some interesting meals over the next two weeks - including some ‘mystery’ boxes. I managed to get an online delivery slot booked - for 29th March. Be interesting to see what they actually have in stock by then to deliver to us. We may be eating cardboard boxes before that.

I did manage a walk with Finlay - not many blip opportunities - so I resorted to photographing some celandine glowing in the sunshine.

Stay safe everyone.
