Blackthorn

A day off from work, although I have been keeping in touch. Things are moving fast, including there. Council and all other non essential meetings cancelled. When we come out of this, perhaps in a year’s time, the world may be a different place.

We had a short walk around Risley Moss this afternoon. I decided to photograph a small blackthorn bush in flower. And then a few bumblebees landed, early pollinators.

And a bonus. Later at home I noticed a fluttering in the back garden. A tortoiseshell butterfly had landed by a conservatory window.

It is such a disjoint. A public health crisis. And the onset of Spring, which is definitely not called off.
