On the Lowes

This afternoon G and I went for a walk on the Holt Lowes. We saw a hare, a stonechat (thanks for the id G) and the 7 horses that graze the Lowes. They seemed to like the bracken which seems weird given the thorns.

I tried to get a Sainsbury's order online, but there are no slots available for the three weeks ahead that they book. Fortunately I have got a Tesco delivery next Monday, although several items that were in stock when I loaded the basket are not now available. Worrying times.

Day 1
It was very sobering watching Boris and co. announce the latest on Covid 19 which I want to record here as it's so monumental. Everyone should avoid non-essential travel and contact with others with immediate effect and work from home. It was flagged that people in at risk groups should self isolate for 12 weeks shortly. I'm unclear if my underlying health conditions put me in that group or not. I'll play it safe, although it's fairly easy for us to meet up to walk and not meet anyone else and we're already going in separate cars.  Several meetings this week had been cancelled before the announcement.
