When Irish Mice are Smiling

Dear Diary,

Henry and Marigold unveiled their surprise this morning.  Marigold was dressed in a lovely green and polka dotted skirt and silk shawl pinned with a shamrock and she carried a wee pot of gold.  Henry, gentleman that he is, let her wear his green Wellies.  Henry, who told me on our trip to Ireland last year that he is descended from a long line of Irish mice who stole on board ships coming to America in the 1840's,  composed a special song for today and they sang it for me and Lulu as the snow was falling outside on this St. Patrick's Day morning.  What a pair!  SLAINTE!
