Social distancing

Identification welcome. These flowers are ubiquitous and have been flowering in massive banks of orange for months. They're just coming to an end now; I liked the isolation of these two on the garden fence, more photogenic than the blooms in bulk.

Just about warm enough for some outdoor time. I tried a "Yoga with Adriene" Youtube video this morning; I got halfway through before keeling over exhausted into a corpse pose. Perhaps I can play her in slow motion?

We had some socially distanced conversation with our neighbours. H is concerned about her 74-year-old mother in the UK, who said that if over-70s have to isolate, she'll just lie about her age. Like the virus will care. Some people in Britain seem to be taking their lead from their utterly unserious Prime Minister.

Food diary: lunch was steamed salt cod with leftover lentils and pasta. Tonight is organic Pyrenean beefburgers courtesy of Lidl and the freezer, using muffins as burger buns. Tomato, caramelised onions, gherkins, barbecue sauce.

Film diary: last night's streamed film was Cedric Klapisch's Ce Qui Nous Lie, about a winemaking family in Burgundy. Lightweight and easy to watch, like all his films. Tonight, haven't decided yet.

Edit: yes we have! Mourad Merzouki has made the whole of Pixel available online. We saw it live in Narbonne in 2016 and it was mesmerising.
