Alone Time

The sun was out and so was I, working away on the allotment. There were a few folk there but there’s not really much interaction at the best of times so ‘Hello’ was a long discussion. Tell a lie, the guy in the neighbouring allotment asked if I had a cough.
Anyway, the veggie beds are all dug over now and I’ve moved onto the berry patch. Lots of rat grass and ground elder to carefully dig out - leave a bit of root and it’ll grow back pronto - but the soil hasn’t been worked much in years so it’s really, really heavy. It’s hard going. Luckily I have plenty time on my hands.

No trip to The Tiq tonight and there won’t be for months it seems. Hope they survive OK and far more importantly that the staff manage OK.
