The Eve of the Lockdown

This was the view from my deck  at 7.39 pm.  Today we bought compost,  blubs, paint, prepaid envelopes, fruit and groceries.  At the garden centre and hardware a lot of people were doing the same.  New Zealand is going to have great gardens and all those home maintenance  jobs are going to be completed in the month we spend at home.  At the supermarket I did feel I was in a sci fi novel when the check out operator had a mask and gloves on.  I stood at the end of the conveyor and put my items on and only moved close to her to pay.
I'm glad today is over and tomorrow I can get to work in the garden.
