Normal life

Life at the moment seems a bit unreal. Normal on the outside but far from normal underneath. Even just a few weeks ago we had no idea that we could be in this situation, with so many restrictions to our freedom.

I thought I might look back each day and see if I can make a link with what I was doing on that same day last year - when life was normal. I might then be more inclined to appreciate what we have still got and also know that, when all this is over, I will never take for granted the things we have currently lost.

Hanging out the washing. On this day last year it was a lovely day for drying the washing outside and I made a link with the same activity having been carried out through the generations. Today has been a similar lovely day for drying the washing and those of us with gardens are appreciating the fact that on a sunny day, even in these worrying times, we can go about a normal day in the garden and do things like - hanging out the washing.

Stay at Home - Day 2

Our younger daughter and her husband and dog are now trapped in Cornwall, unable to get home to London. They had not planned for this, but actually are probably better off there than in London. Apparently there is great consternation in Cornwall that all the Pasty Shops have been closed!! She sent us this notice (Extra) posted in their local shop.
