Common Enchantments

Outside

So the camping trip was out as the parks are not taking any new reservations as of yesterday evening.   Which is probably for the best.

Today we escaped the house and went for a walk on a portion of the Enoree Passage of the Palmetto Trail.   I walked here several years ago with the ladies hiking group and remembered it had some lakes with fish so Jerry was happy to go along.   The dog was happy to swim but she was so tired when we got back to the car that she could hardly jump in.  She is getting to be an old girl at 9 years old.       The collage shows Sedalia Lake and some of the flora and fauna I saw on the trail    Felt great to walk somewhere other than the paved street in my neighborhood.    This trail is in the national forest and they are remaining open for walking but no camping and all facilities are closed.     We only saw four other people here in several hours time.

Our state is doing okay with the virus overall.    We now have 424 confirmed cases and 7 deaths.  Some info says these were elderly or had underlying medical problems relating to lungs or heart.  In my county where I live there are 18 cases confirmed and 1 of the deaths was here in the early weeks of the virus.   No new deaths.    The health department here said that based on what they are seeing and learning, 80% of the people who are confirmed do not need hospitalization.    This leads me to questions on isolation and care at home.   Who takes care of the caregivers if they get sick and possibly children if people are isolated but not needed hospital care?

Be well out there Blippers!
