Lockdown: Day 4

After a morning of laundry and cooking I had my daily exercise early in the afternoon. Having worked out the widest route to the Under Loughrigg road I wandered along by the River Rothay. I spotted a dipper and watched it for several minutes. I was surprised how much time it spent underwater. Just after the dipper flew off upstream, Mr Mallard came swimming down. It was much easier to get a photo of him. I returned the same way as it seemed the best to keep a safe distance from others.

I saw more people on today's walk but no more than 25 of which 7 were cyclists and 2 were walking a dog. There was a socially distanced queue of 3 outside the butchers.
