a lifetime burning

The Pheasant's Eye

Cathy assures me that these daffodils are called "Pheasant's Eyes".  They are the last of our daffodils to flower, but boy are they worth the wait.  Most definitely our favourites.

Its sunny out there at the moment, but its really windy, and the wind chill factor is quite significant.  Definitely not an afternoon for sitting out doors.

Cathy's been to the supermarket to do our weekly shop, queuing in car park  which was appropriately policed by the hard working supermarket staff.  Once home we decontaminated everything before bringing it into the kitchen - which is quite a process.  Still now that we have done it once, we have a clearer idea on how to do it more efficiently the next time.

There is still no bread flour available.  I had a supply in as I make all our bread anyway, but I am going to run out soon now, which is a little depressing.  After the luxury of home baked bread for a few years supermarket bought bread just isn't anywhere near as good :-/. Still, as Cathy pointed out, it should help us loose a little weight - there is no doubt that its all too easy to eat carbs in the form of home made bread :-))
