The Future is Bright

We found the box with the sunglasses and hats in - so ate supper suitably attired... Frankly, the future has to be bright as the present is pretty worrying / dull / monotonous / stressful (choose your word to put here...!)

We all had coffee / milk in bed this morning, depending on which age bracket you fell into, then we made a den in the living room and played with lego.  The boys finally got dressed for lunch-time (not that standards are slipping!)

Long walk this afternoon, in time if not in distance.  We were out for over three hours, the youngest was carried for at least two of them.  Obligatory hot chocolate from the flask half way around.  We bumped into a collegue just before getting home who snuck us into her garden to fee the boys a melted marshmallow over the bonfire they had going - it was bliss, and for a minute I think we all felt as if life was back to normal!

Today I'm grateful for:
Lovely lie-ins and finding two children have got into your bed in the time it takes to get up and make coffee
Long afternoon walk
Clandestine marshmallow toasting!
