Hearts for Heroes

When my creatures learned that Blipfoto was sponsoring a community challenge, to celebrate "hearts for heroes," Tiny Tiger and the rest of the crew decided they wanted to participate. So we rounded up all the hearts we could find, and here they are!!!

These hearts are meant to be a Thank You to all of the heroes of the current pandemic/apocalypse. I will mention a few of the ones I know of, but I am sure this will not be an exhaustive list. Please know that you are included, no matter what sort of hero you may be! And remember, a hero is a hero, no matter how small!

Are you a health care worker, risking your life every single day for the greater good, managing to get by with too little, running on fumes? Are you a grocery store or gas station or restaurant employee, doing the best you can, dealing with the public every single day? Are you a trucker, hauling necessary goods all around the nation? I salute you, friends!

Are you staying at home, and trying to handle all of your normal tasks, with the additional stresses that the current situation has loaded on top of them? Are you juggling child care and work and trying to home school when you've never done that before? Are you struggling, and afraid, but getting up and trying again, every single day? Our hats are off to you! Well done!

WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!
And so we offer up these hearts for all of the heroes out there.
Yes, I see the hero in your eyes!!
Keep on keeping on!

With so much love and gratitude from the
GirWithACamera and the whole crew!

I picked two songs for this blip. One is for hearts and one is for heroes. The first song is Survivor, with Burning Heart, for we need a mighty 80s anthem as our soundtrack to kick this pandemic's butt together! (A few pertinent lyrics are provided below.)

And the second is David Bowie, of course, with my favorite song about Heroes. There is a Bowie for every mood under the sun, so here are THREE versions of this awesome tune: the original, Bridge School (1996 - this song starts at 23:27), and Berlin (2002).

In the warrior's code
There's no surrender
Though his body says stop
His spirit cries: never!!!!!!
