Sunlight

Getting up in the dark at 12.30am was fine. Getting on with stuff until 7 was fine. Going shopping for a few last minute things (like currency!) was really disorientating.

There is a hypothesis that, since light resets the body clock, walking in the sun at your destination minimises jetlag. I don't know whether that works but today the sun was the brightest it's been for what feels like ever and when I headed into it at 5pm body time (10.30 GMT) I just knew it was a beautiful bright winter morning. It was so bright it spilled into all the buildings and the roads reflected whiter than snow. I kept telling myself it was a beautiful bright summer evening, but I knew I was lying.
