Greenhouse

A gift from Sweed!  Well, not exactly, he just didn't have room in his own backyard.  Anyway, this was a nice way to thank us for helping him solve that 'small' luxurious problem he had last February.  The greenhouse was originally planned to stand right on our terrace, my idea, but it blocked a little bit of the small window in the living room, and, anyway, AW decided he could also use the ground itself inside the greenhouse, so this is where it has ended up on.  Not that anyone minds.

Somewhere on the other side of the world, there's a country that it seems didn't prepare adequately in time for the present circumstances, whose leadership is blaming everyone left and right, and who's now only waking up to the awful reality that the rest of the world is now rather painfully familiar with, and the death toll there is climbing horrendously fast.  Thousands now have to pay for that government delay.  Over here, it would appear that the curves are flattening gradually and, huge sigh of relief, we'll have our extra beds and ventilators this coming weekend.  A bow to all the hotel chains and concert halls who have volunteered their rooms and facilities to accommodate the non-urgent hospital cases.  Yes, I'm confident this country will pull through, scars and traumas notwithstanding.  The football coaches of the Dutch national teams have rallied all their fans -- 'You've cheered for the country in good times and bad!  You've stood by us!  Now, let us stand up and work and cheer for our nation ... and help by staying home.'  SAMEN STERK!

Our thoughts go out to the families of the 1339 who have gone.
