THANK YOU for all your greetings and tokens yesterday!  Much, much appreciated.

A cloudy day!  But the few tulips we have gave me a smile, nonetheless.  I miss the years when we had a load of them.  None of the purple ones have come up so far, and none of the tall ones.  At least not yet.  We doubt they ever will.  Fresh bulbs will be ordered in the autumn.

Housework, and AW went to Sweed's place for an afternoon of live bridge.  From what I heard later in the evening, Sweed and Benna were discomfited about Hennen's sudden cancellation last Wednesday as they both had moved previously made appointments just to accommodate the session, and now they are wondering if permanent changes need to be made.  This afternoon, another friend played in his place.  Hennen has always been like that, with not much regard for other people, but he's always been put up with in the name of friendship and for 'old times' sake, and then later because of his stroke.  I wonder what will happen next.  They had a delightful afternoon, according to AW, and everyone wants to keep it that way.  Challenging times do have a way of putting things in a new perspective.
