Keep on lickin'!

The days go on, much the same. Some sunshine this morning, but as we set off after lunch for our regular walk to the seafront the raindrops began to fall. It didn't come to much fortunately, so we had a pleasant wander through the lanes, trying to pick a different route, tho' there are only so many options!

More people out today, but still pretty quiet. Several people were working in their gardens, scraping moss off the roof tiles from a dormer window, or clearing the weeds from the road under their walls. A regular hive of activity in fact. It's noticeable that more people call out 'hello' than usual, tho' to be fair Oban's quite a friendly place: it's the foreign tourists who often refuse to  make eye contact!

This chappie obviously refuses to let current events stop his enjoyment; he even put on a mask, tho' nobody had the heart to tell him it was the wrong sort!

Mrs M has been making sourdough bread which takes a long time, but tastes good - my extra today.

Quote of the day:

Brendan Behan - "I have a total irreverence for anything connected with society except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer."
