The Old Forge (Sunday 5th April 2020)

We've had so much rain I'd forgotten about watering but finally woke up to the fact we've had a dry spell and was out in the garden with a watering can trying to repair some of the damage.
Mingling with the muscari are these starry white Lucile's Glory Of The Snow flowers (Chionodoxa luciliae 'Alba') growing next to a buddleia. I have some of the blue variety elsewhere but I think these may be new from last year's plantings.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Booker T. and the MG's - Boot-Leg (recorded 5 April 1965, Stax Studios, Memphis TN)
This was a single released in 1965 and recorded on this day 55 years ago. I was a big fan of the band and got my mother to buy this for me from Rackham's in Birmingham where she'd gone shopping as soon as it came out. Booker T wasn't actually on the record and his place on keyboards was taken by Isaac Hayes. It also featured Packy Axton from the Mar-Keys guesting on tenor sax.
