Life through the lens...

Tree Frog.

Ha, Ha. Spotted on our walk today.
Sunshine and clouds. A spot or two of rain, and only a slight breeze. Good walking weather.
A lot fewer people out today,

Extra. Flowers of the English Elm tree.
This one was a sapling growing on the banking of a disused railway line.
( remember when this was the main line from Bradford to Wakefield, and occasionally my Dad used to catch the Pullman train to
London.)

A great start to the day. This time I saw the woodpecker. It came a little later at 7.45am.
Only stayed for about three minutes, but what a fabulous view out of the little bedroom window as it “ drummed “ on the weeping ash tree.
Tomorrow I will have my camera ready. Fingers crossed.

Our next door neighbour brought some potatoes, leeks and carrots round for us. She said their veg. delivery was too big for the three of them. So leek and potato soup for lunch tomorrow.
Also our lovely DIL brought a few groceries, although she couldn’t get most things I wanted as they had sold out.
Still Mr C was lucky and got his packet of Dark Chocolate Digestive biscuits.

Some really good news.
Our friend who had a double kidney transplant is now back home.
Although he had a double kidney transplant, one failed and they had to remove it. A very difficult procudure.
The other kidney seems to be working fine and now after entering the hospital with just 7% of function, he now has 41%.
Unfortunately he now has no immune system, and so he and his wife are in total lockdown.
We wish him well, and that they both stay safe.
