At Cinderford: Les Palace Cinema

Our local cinema is a relic. We love going. Its a low budget cinema. Very British in every way. Its art deco hanging on, with every bottom that lands on a seat. How these little places keep going is a mystery for me. The rental prices of these big films must nearly out way what money they make in viewing figures. The Palace has two screens. Jayne and I were treated to the balcony tonight. The balcony only has about 50 seats. Some of those are the sofa seats at the back. We like those seats.


Tonight, we watched Les Miserable. We, or rather I sobbed for the entirety. Jayne held it together rather better! Its such a sad and very beautiful tale....

But then to quote out of the film itself, "He who does not weep does not see" x
