Just for the Boys

Lockdown Day 15

Work was considerably quieter today, the phone hardly rang at all. Despite working in psychiatry and now offering Skype and telephone consultations, I think a lot of patients are struggling to afford our services due to the financial impacts that Covid-19 is causing.

I’ve felt really tired tonight and we didn’t go out for a walk after work, but as you can see the boys didn’t seem to mind, I’m sure they think this sofa is just for them! We sat in the Palace for a while before dinner, but I kept nodding off!

We’ve successfully picked and ordered a new oven which will be delivered on Thursday, and as long as the old one is left on the drive, they’ll take it away. Alan can fit the new one himself so at least we don’t have to have anyone coming in the house.

You may remember that the grandfather of Rachel’s colleague sadly passed away due to Covid-19, well Rach told me tonight that her colleague now has it :-(

The main news tonight is that Boris has been admitted into intensive care which is a bit worrying! I’m not a fan of his but I hope he makes a speedy recovery. There were 439 deaths over the last 24 hours, but they’re expecting it to peak on Sunday. And research now shows that to stop Coronavirus, everyone should wear a mask, even simple home made ones. The reason behind this is that even people without symptoms can infect others just by speaking, but a simple mask will stop droplets spreading.
