Bald But Blossomed

Another beautiful day. I thought this coot looked pretty framed in blossom. I heard but couldn't spot my first blackcap of 2020. These warblers are also known as northern nightingales. Shame I won't be travelling to hear an actual nightingale this year.

Our chiffchaffs have been very vocal and I photographed what I think was a female spreading and flicking her wings coquettishly. I got my first shot of a dock shieldbug on alkanet, my first orange tip butterfly on ground ivy and my first speckled wood on blackthorn.

The supermoon is absolutely super!
