Cooperative Hummingbird

This sweet young hummingbird let me get very close to the bush where she was eating. I don't think she has learned to be afraid of people yet. See extra of her sitting on a branch near me.

My small group book/study/connect group met today on Zoom. It was so nice seeing everyone and catching up on our lives. Last time we met we talked about the value of creativity in our lives......especially during this time of isolations so we said he would bring something to this meeting that we had done creative. After we shared art, poems, meal planning, sewing, flower gardens, being aware of nature on walks,  vegetable gardens, etc., we realize we were describing a time before easy access buying what we wanted; we were talking about doing something with our hands, being self sufficient, not dependent on others to entertain us.  Of course, all of us are Sheltering in Place so we are having others bring groceries to us......But before this time of isolation, some in the group went out to dinner almost every night ...went somewhere for exercise....went to theater often.....walked fast and never noticed anything because they were in a hurry to get to the "next" thing.

Life has changed.. some of it feels crazy, but some of it feel healthy. We wondered if we would go back to our "old" ways or if we were finding some aspects of our new life that were healthier than life before Corvid 19. What about you? Are there ways life is better now?
