MCO day 24

Work early with razors in my throat which luckily Strepsils sorted.  Then an early call which resulted in a document that may come  in useful next week.

School was very light today, a combination of my tiredness, it being a holiday (but not here) and the girls art class this afternoon.  David Walliams, interactive word matching and fiendish word searches then after the break Easter bonnet making.

I helped Amelia with the art class.  She loves Zoom, waves and shouts (on mute).  I think it's because she can see herself.  It was an odd experience, in Chinese with English translation, but only 30 minutes.  Later there was over 90 minutes sitting with Olivia.  We started with the Black Death.  It is quite proscriptive but that is perhaps because it is a virtual class.  The screensharing didn't word very effectively but now we do have a colourful picture of Covid-19 virus in a playpark.

By the end the news that the MCO was being extended to 28th had com through.  However, some businesses will be allowed to operate in certain circumstances - amongst them hairdressers (for the men apparently), laundries and, architects.  This was announced at 4 p.m. on a Friday and the changes come into effect 9 a.m. Monday providing you have the right approvals.  The website is incommunicado.

Wen Hui went to Ben's for shopping and came back with treats.  I made dinner and cleared up.  It was 35 deg and very humid today.  the evening was quiet as the girls tried to pretend it wasn't bathtime and their parents checked websites to find out the full implications of today's changes.

Whatever happens next week will be different.  If possible Wen will work from her office and I suspect there will be visits to Chamomile. Before that I am looking forward to my weekend.  There are Easter treats I'm told funded by the Government handout (just over £200) that every household has been sent.

24 days down, 18 to go?
