Nicky and her Nikon

Good Friday

There is a cherry tree in our high street that every year produces the most beautiful blossoms. So on our walk to the woods today with Xena we went via the high street so I could get some photos of it. I always think the clusters of blossoms look like a brides' bouquet! I also tried a PV of the whole tree, but there was so much clutter in the background it took me ages to try and remove some of it - see extra.

It is very warm today - we had lunch outside on the patio and it was almost too warm to sit there even though it is under cover. We had salmon and salads, it had to be fish of course being Good Friday. Luke also made some delicious chargrilled asparagus as one of the salads. The boys then got out the croquet set and had fun playing croquet while Xena watched on in amusement as by now they had all stripped off to either just shorts or boxers!

Life in lockdown continues - the good weather does help to lift the spirits and we are lucky enough to have a garden to enjoy it in. I was thinking about all the puppies that are due to be collected from their breeders now that no longer can be collected, as it will be non essential travel. The breeders must be having a very busy time with all the puppies having to stay on for all these extra weeks, and often the mama dog has also had enough of the puppies by the time they are 8 weeks old.
