Hint of Blossom

Today is quite the milestone. For 14 days J and myself have had to social distance from each other within the same small house, for reasons I won’t go into here. Nightmare.

We are now beyond that thank goodness.

I have been following the progress of leaf emergence on our small apple tree. Unexpectedly it rained very heavily late last night, and that really does seem to have encouraged blossom to start emerging.

Whilst I am missing travelling during Spring, if I am going to be trapped at home until mid June (at least) it’s not a bad time to be here, I can still listen to bird song and see new life emerging on my doorstep,
