Earache MyEyeInA Nutshell

To Hull and back

Seeing as how today is the first full day for nearly three weeks that the temperature has gone above freezing we though we'd go out and get some fresh air in our lungs today. When it's cold and snowy I just like to keep in the warm as my job sees me outside, or inside with no heating, during the working hours.
We toyed with the idea of a trip to the coast but the four hour round trip to Bridlington didn't appeal and you'd have to insane to even consider closer places like Skegness, Mablethorpe or Cleethorpes. So, as Paula's never been over the Humber Bridge we thought we'd have a drive out. From Newark you can do the trip in a circle; out on the A46/A15 via Lincoln and back via the M18/A1.
When we got to the Hull side of the bridge we stopped, got out and had a walk over. It was incredibly windy up there. Quite a nice shot though, I think. Rather disappointed that the Humber Bridge Visitor Centre was shut but hey-ho.
Back via my Dad's hometown of Goole and a steady ride through Bawtry and we're home. Five hours entertainment for a tenner.
