Happy Easter!!

We’re a bit funny, us Swedes. We always celebrate our big holidays on the Eve. Christmas Eve. Easter Eve/Saturday. Midsummer’s Eve. That’s us, plain and simple. So this strange Easter holiday, we had our Easter smörgåsbord (we always eat smörgåsbord, too, which is also kind of strange) just me and mum, in our kitchen while Grandma had her same meal all alone in HER kitchen, maybe 100 metres away. I did get to see her from the stairway today, but I couldn’t go inside.

Grandma, who is the greatest cook I know, had made three types of pickled herring, cured herring with caviar sauce, eggs with shrimp, cured salmon and Jansson’s temptation, which is a potato gratin with salty fish. AND she’d sent a special meatball, just for me! It was AWESOME!! See first extra.

This Alone together works ok most of the time but it’s hard on days like today. Today is supposed to be Together together!

At least we have sleeping reindeer in our living room! It’s slow TV 24/7 from Easter until May 6, with 35 hidden cameras documenting the big moose migration near a big river in the north of Sweden. Moose and reindeer migrate from winter to summer grazing areas. We love it! The reindeer are fun to watch! See second extra.

We wish all our Blipfriends a Happy Easter!
