wild & precious life

Easter Sunday

Day 20

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Started the day with the live stream of Easter Mass.

Then daily dog walk. The estate was eerily quiet - quieter than it has been at any point in this lockdown situation.

It was a novelty to walk past someone's driveway where second hand books, toys and home-grown plants were on display and for sale - all in aid of Macmillan - via an honesty tin. I always had an inkling that the man who lived in this house was a regular car boot seller. I was really happy to pick up some geraniums, petunias, nasturtiums & sweet peas (see extra) to add to my other plants that were delivered yesterday.

Then passed this bright gateway on our way back home.

It wasn't a particularly bright day here in the North East but it was still pleasant to be outdoors planting. The decking is looking tidy and colourful now. Barely saw anyone. Yesterday, when the sun was out, there seemed to be a lot of neighbours pottering around but not today.

So enjoying my daughter's company through this period.

Hubby is now home after another day on the frontline so we can have a nice Easter meal together with a glass of wine. Cheers!
