The Cube...

Traditionally in my family at christmas, a puzzle of some sort appears within the festivities. This year was no different and this year, this little trinket presented itself.

It is a clump of 216 small metal, highly magnetic, balls. From previous, remote viewings, I thought it would be quite easy to just snap them all together back into the cube shape that they come packaged.

Turns out dealing with 216 magnetic fields is a bit pernickety. Didn't think of it as a puzzle, but it does become a very traditional puzzle in that you have to learn the small set of rules that govern it. It took a good couple of hours mucking about but I finally worked out how to get it back to rights fairly efficiently.

A brilliant wee challenge.
