Early Purple

A week ago I found my first early purple orchids of the season https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2694624486237405790. I revisited the same spot this morning and counted almost 80 flowering spikes including one that was about 30 cm high, quite possibly the largest EPO I've ever seen. Unfortunately the light was very flat and I only had a phone camera but I'll return later in the week and try to take a better photograph.

Butterflies today: Orange Tip, Small White, Speckled Wood. Plus a common green lacewing.
