Rodents rule

In bloom

Last week when we walked around Dulwich Park, the rhododendrons were in bud and today some of them had burst into glorious colours of pink, yellow, white and red. Elsewhere, the blossom was still full on – I think it's mostly cherry and apple blossom. There was a gorgeous smell in the American Garden, but we couldn't figure out where it came from (we were like Bisto kids for a while).

It was colder today but still sunny and warm in the sheltered part of the garden. I finally finished Purity by Jonathan Franzen, but it was a struggle. I feel like it could have been a much shorter book, probably because I lost interest in a few of the characters. This is one for the charity shop rather than a recommendation to a friend. I'm pleased I finished it, though.

Also finished for the time being is The Mandalorian, which is an excellent Star Wars spin-off. We subscribed to Disney Plus just so we could watch it and we've seen all the episodes broadcast so far... roll on Episode 6. We started watching Rogue One again, just to continue the appetite for Star Wars. It's certainly one of the better films of the new bunch.

Juno is being incredibly cute at the moment. He's loving spending time with us and is extra cuddly. This is to be encouraged.
