A different kind of bank

A beautiful sunny day today! The wind was extremely light and blowing, if at all, down the road, so I thought it would be a good time to burn all my prunings and all the twiggy debris of years down at the bottom of my garden bank.

I didn't want to smoke out my neighbour on the left who came out to hang out her washing; a lot of the smoke went up to our house, just visible above the smoke at top right. This Blip courtesy of Mrs M. My extra is of the decorated poles which we pass on the way home from the town.

Quote of the Day:

Monty Halls, 'Escaping Hitler' - "It is not unreasonable to assume that the desire for freedom is universal, something fundamental to us all."
