The 8pm applause

The neighbours in between us and the couple here are both former NHS workers which encourages all in our little hamlet, to go outside at 8pm on a Thursday to clap, bang saucepans and generally make a lot of noise to show our support and gratitude to the NHS and all key workers during this pandemic,  even though only the sheep can hear us. The lambs are alarmed.

Sorted out photos and did a 5km walk up to our local high point -Lords Lot. Didn't see a soul. It was good to catch up with the neighbours at 8pm

Day 29
861 hospital deaths taking the total to 13,729.  The stay at home restrictions are extended for another 3 weeks. Some staff in one home in the North West have moved into the care home to stop the virus getting into the home. Capt Tom Moore completes his 100th lap . He's raised £15m and rising.
And the dashing  BBC North West weatherman Owain Wyn-Evans,  who delights us with his Welsh accent and dress sense, has gone viral with a drumming rendition of the BBC news tune see here
