A Monkey's Tale

All Vegetarians Look Away.. Now!

You must be Djok-ing!?..

I never joke about my Roast Dinners. Oh no. This is serious stuff.

And funny you should mention it, I was up with the lark, eagerly awaiting the racket of the Australian Open to begin, & to watch our very own Andy Murray face the unstoppable tennis train that is Novak Djokovic. It was a good first couple of sets, with Muzza matching Djok all the way, but before too long, the reigning Oz champion & World No. 1 got his game back on track, & he was crusing to a 3rd successive victory in Melbourne.

There's always next year, or maybe the year after that, or the year after that..

After the joys of another Murray-Final defeat, the rest of the day took on a much more relaxed feel. With plans of a Roast, we braved the supermarket. To make doubly sure we absolutely deserved our dinner & to make the most of the return of the sun, we went for a 3-mile run & exlpored some more of our local area.

With all the horrors of the day now behind us, we knew a treat was in store. We rustled up a crack-ling Roast Pork dinner with tasty trimmings. And it was goood. It was Jenny's first time cooking such a classic, & actually only my second, but we did ourselves (& our stomachs) proud.

This was to feed two of us..

But hey, when we go for it, we go the whole hog!
