Lockdown Day 26 - Found in the Garage

Rain for the first time in a while.  It was a day for sorting out a room and that was the garage, which we now use as a utility/boot room.  While going through some drawers I came across some old coins.  Initially I thought we had some old pre-decimal coins from the reigns of George V, VI and Queen Elizabeth II.  It was only looking closer at the coin on the left that I realised that this was Queen Victoria and the date on the coin is 1883.

It was also interesting to note that for all of the previous monarchs I had coins for they were looking to the left whereas our current Queen looks to the right.  I had to look this up and apparently the king or queen alternates the direction they look in on coins  So with Queen Victoria facing left, King Edward VII would have faced right; George V left (as can be seen here); Edward VIII looked right (though no coins went into general circulation because of his abdication); George VI left and our Queen right.

Day Miles: 1.7 miles Total miles: 495.2 miles
