Pilgrims Way, North Downs

Another fine day, another day with stiff northerly winds which made for a fine, clear atmosphere.

Walked this morning up onto the North Downs, where the bluebells and the views were spectacular. Easy to put the turmoil to the back of your mind. Today’s blip is at the crest of the Downs looking over a field of dandelions.

We were annoyed to find some fly tipping had take place since we were up there a few days ago. Some plastic sacks full of garden waste had been dumped. Leaving the organic waste was bad enough; they could have tipped it out of the sacks !

On the way down Water Lane we were passed by two people on quad bikes going up. Dressed in gaudy leathers I don’t think they were on an essential journey. We heard the noise of their engines for quite a while afterwards

We played round 3 of the virtual scavenger hunt this afternoon where the Dorks (us) lived up to our expectations by failing to win a round until almost the end. We only got points when they were dished out to everyone else or when we posted something that made the question setters laugh. We ended up a dishonourable last.
