Fulling Mill Farm

One of the houses in rural Kent east of Maidstone that Susan covets. A fulling mill, of course, is a step in woollen clothmaking which involves the cleansing of cloth to eliminate oils, dirt, and other impurities, and to make it thicker.

To the left-hand side of the property is the millpond while the River Len runs under the bridge in the foreground.

A good walk, if a little cool today after overnight rain which wet the surface of the allotment providing a nice damp seedbed for the beetroot and carrots I sowed this afternoon.

Otherwise, pretty much the same as previous Saturdays in lockdown.

Hope everyone is OK?
