Spectacular seas

Sunday today, so I 'went' to church in the morning via facebook, then chatted to some church friends on skype before having lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day, though with a strong east wind, so I decided to walk down towards the sea and headed in the direction of Portobello. I didn't intend to walk all the way to Portobello itself, but thought I'd walk down to the shore and a little way along at least. I was so glad I did as the sea was pretty spectacular. It was beautiful and good to be out in the fresh air in such a lovely spot. I couldn't decide on a single photo from my walk, so I've added a couple of extras too.

The Leith-Portobello walk is one I do relatively often, so it was interesting to note the greater number of people also walking and cycling that route today. One effect of lockdown is to bring people out for a daily walk or cycle in the near vicinty of where they live, so I'm finding there are many more people on certain walking routes than I'm used to in normal times. Most people are good about keeping a distance, so it's not a real problem but I am finding a number who just won't keep a distance and come far too close or won't move aside even a little bit. Either they don't know what 2 metres means or they don't care, but whichever it is means that elements of the walk felt a little stressful because of that.

However, my evening was far less stressful. I played a very fun couple of games of Drawful with both my brothers, my sister-in-laws and my niece via zoom and the Drawful website. A lot of fun and a nice way to relax and play a fun game with family.
